Getting started
1. Tap the venue at the top of the Today screen and pick your ski area, or search any town.
2. Open Ski rack and add each pair you wax, with grip-zone length and camber.
3. After every session tap Log outing and tell the app how the grip felt. The next recommendation for that pair adjusts to your result.
Common questions
Why does the app recommend a different wax than the chart on the tin?
Klister Day starts from the snow temperature and snow type, then shifts the band for your pair: soft camber or a long grip zone go harder, a short zone goes softer, and your own logged outcomes in similar snow count most. The card on Today explains every shift.
Where does the snow temperature come from?
It is estimated from the Open-Meteo forecast (air temperature, dew point, cloud cover and time of day). For the best result, put a thermometer in the track and tap "Trackside reading" to enter your own numbers.
The app says the weather service did not answer.
Your phone has a signal but the forecast request failed. Tap Try again, use the saved forecast, or enter trackside readings. Everything else works offline.
I am in airplane mode.
The app skips the network and opens with placeholders. Enter trackside readings and the planner works as normal.
How do I get the wax-night reminder?
Switch on "Wax-night reminder" on Today or in Settings and allow notifications. You get a note the evening before with tomorrow's band. Pick the hour in Settings.
Is Klister Day tied to a wax brand?
No. It recommends a wax band and lists tins from several makers alphabetically as examples. Add the tins you own to your wax box and the planner names them when they match.
How do I back up or move my journal?
Open Journal and tap the share button to export a CSV file, or use Settings → Export journal as CSV. Data lives only on your device.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Erase all data removes pairs, outings, photos, reminders and settings. Deleting the app does the same.
The widget shows nothing.
Open the app once so it can read today's snow. The widget updates when the app refreshes and every couple of hours.
