The short version
Klister Day does not collect personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your ski pairs, outings, waxing notes, wax box and photos are stored only on your own device.
What stays on your device
- Ski pairs: name, make and model, length, grip-zone length, camber, paper-test gap, notes and an optional photo.
- Outings: date, venue name, the wax you used, the grip outcome, glide feel, distance, time, the snow conditions of the day, notes and an optional kick-zone photo.
- Waxing records, the tins in your wax box, guide progress, merits and settings.
This information is saved in the app's private storage (Core Data, the app's settings storage and its files). A small summary of today's wax (venue, band and temperatures) is shared with the Klister Day widget through an App Group on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app, or using "Erase all data" in Settings, removes it.
Weather and place search
To read today's snow, the app requests a forecast from Open-Meteo, a free weather service. The request contains only the latitude and longitude of the venue you selected. When you search for a place, the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding service. These requests carry no account or device identifier, and the developer does not receive them. Open-Meteo's own terms and privacy policy apply to its servers. The last forecast is cached on your device so the app works offline.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you tap Camera to photograph a ski pair or the kick zone after an outing. The photo picker lets you choose a single image. Klister Day never scans your library. Photos you add are stored inside the app on your device and are never uploaded.
Notifications
Wax-night reminders and "log your grip" nudges are local notifications scheduled on your device. Klister Day asks for permission only when you switch one of them on. No push service is used.

Children
Klister Day is a general audience app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights and changes
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You stay in control through the app itself. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
